Job Responsibility:

  • Academic Excellence: Plan and deliver high-impact Science lessons across KS3 and KS4, ensuring students grasp both theoretical concepts and practical applications
  • Laboratory Leadership: Facilitate safe and engaging practical experiments, working closely with the technician team to bring the curriculum to life
  • Exam Success: Lead Year 11 cohorts through their GCSE specifications (Combined and Triple Science), using data-driven interventions to push students toward their target grades
  • Inclusive Science: Differentiate complex topics for a diverse classroom, providing scaffolding for EAL learners while stretching high-attaining students
  • STEM Advocacy: Promote Science beyond the classroom through clubs, competitions, and links to local industry, inspiring students to consider future careers in medicine, engineering, or research
  • Departmental Collaboration: Contribute to a supportive faculty by sharing resources, engaging in moderation, and participating in whole-school initiatives

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Degree in a Scientific discipline (Biology, Chemistry, Physics, or related STEM subject)
