Manchester Secondary PRU is not just a school; it is a turning point. the school support Key Stage 3 and 4 pupils who have been permanently excluded from mainstream education. They are looking for a tenacious, high-impact Science Teacher to join our mission of re-engaging vulnerable learners and driving an agenda of academic excellence.

Job Responsibility:

Deliver high-quality Science lessons (GCSE and Functional Skills Level 2) to small groups of pupils with complex SEMH needs
Be a mentor, a scientist, and a champion for students who have often been told they can't succeed

Requirements:

QTS/QTLS qualification for Secondary school teaching
Proven track record of delivering Science at KS3 and KS4 Level
Proven experience in a UK based SEMH/PRU School
Enhanced DBS on the update service
Deep understanding of safeguarding requirements and the impact of emotional well-being on learning
Commitment to excellence and a 'no-excuses' approach to student potential

Nice to have:

Experience in an SEN or PRU setting is highly desirable
The ability to offer a second subject is a distinct advantage
