We are recruiting passionate Science Teachers to join our diverse range of secondary schools across the historic city of Chester. Whether you are an ECT looking for a supportive start or an experienced educator seeking a new challenge, we have the perfect laboratory for you. We have opportunities across City Center (CH1), Hoole/Upton (CH2), Boughton (CH3), and Curzon Park/Saltney (CH4).

Job Responsibility:

Deliver clear and engaging Science lessons across KS3 and KS4
Set up and oversee safe practical experiments in the lab
Mark student work and provide constructive feedback
Manage classroom behaviour to ensure a productive learning environment
Follow departmental schemes of work and exam board specifications
Work closely with lab technicians to prepare resources for practicals
Attend departmental meetings and contribute to curriculum planning

Requirements:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
Knowledge of subject and curriculum
Strong classroom presence and the ability to inspire students of all backgrounds
A valid DBS on the update service (or willingness to get one)
