Science Teacher - £150 - £240 per day - Ipswich - Are you a pedagogical catalyst capable of igniting a passion for discovery in the heart of Suffolk? Do you possess the technical precision to lead advanced laboratory investigations while making complex theories accessible to all? We are seeking a dedicated Qualified Science Teacher (QTS) to join our partner secondary schools in Ipswich.

Job Responsibility:

  • Plan and deliver engaging, research-informed Science lessons across KS3 and KS4 (with potential for KS5 depending on experience)
  • Design and facilitate safe, high-impact practical experiments
  • Lead Year 11 cohorts through their GCSE specifications using data-driven interventions and feedback
  • Differentiate complex scientific topics for a wide range of abilities
  • Maintain rigorous health and safety standards in the lab in line with CLEAPSS guidelines
  • Contribute to the development of shared resources and participate in moderation

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) / QTLS
  • Degree in a Scientific discipline (Biology, Chemistry, Physics, or related STEM subject)
  • Deep understanding of the scientific method
  • Confidence to model accurate practical techniques
  • Exceptional classroom management skills
  • Enhanced Child DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to process a new one via Randstad)
