Job Responsibility:
Engaging Delivery: Plan (for long-term) or deliver (for supply) high-impact lessons across KS3 and KS4 that challenge students and foster a love for your subject
Classroom Authority: Command the room with a confident and professional presence, implementing school-specific behaviour policies to ensure a productive learning environment
Adaptive Support: Differentiate your teaching style to meet the needs of diverse learners, including high-attainers in grammar settings and students requiring additional scaffolding
Professional Collaboration: Work alongside established departments to share resources and provide detailed feedback on student progress and engagement
Exam Focus: Support Year 11 cohorts through critical revision periods, utilising your subject expertise to boost confidence and attainment levels
Requirements:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) / QTLS: Mandatory
The ability to commute across the Colchester area and a desire to contribute to the local educational community
The ability to hit the ground running in new environments and build immediate rapport with students and staff
A deep knowledge of the secondary curriculum and the energy to make your subject come alive in the classroom
An enhanced Child DBS on the Update Service (or a willingness to process a new one via Randstad)
