Job Description

An international school in Madrid is seeking to appoint a flexible and well-qualified Secondary Cover Teacher specialising in Science and Biology to join the school on a permanent basis from late August 2026. The successful candidate will provide high-quality teaching and classroom cover across the secondary phase, including Bachillerato and A Level, depending on departmental needs. The role requires a confident and adaptable teacher who can maintain high academic standards while supporting continuity of learning across a range of classes and age groups.

Job Responsibility

  • Deliver Science and Biology lessons across Secondary, Bachillerato, and A Level as required
  • Provide short- and medium-term classroom cover across the secondary school
  • Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons in line with curriculum expectations
  • Support student progress, achievement, and wellbeing
  • Collaborate effectively with teaching and pastoral teams
  • Contribute positively to the wider life of the school

Requirements

  • Relevant teaching qualification and recognised degree
  • Experience teaching Science and Biology within a secondary school setting
  • Ability to teach across different age groups, including Bachillerato and A Level
