Job Description:

The Schools Support Analyst is a vital role within Agilisys and this role will promote the effective use of MIS within schools and provide day to day comprehensive support.

Job Responsibility:

  • Provide telephone, remote and onsite support across the entire range of supported MIS software modules
  • Complete relevant documentation and service desk calls in accordance with the MIS SLA which is in place
  • Be responsible for the support of the MIS Systems
  • Upgrade and installation of ESS software, including implementing and co-ordinating new systems as necessary
  • Maintain a high level of expertise with MIS products both those that are currently in widespread use and others that may become significant for the work of schools
  • Create or develop training and support materials for supported MIS software and ensure that these are kept up-to-date and regularly reviewed
  • Help deliver training courses in a range of software modules to a high standard monitored by course evaluation questionnaires
  • Promote the effective use of MIS to raise standards in schools and make recommendations for improvement
  • Support the team with delivering training courses / webinars

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 3 years experience working with MIS (Sims, FMS and Arbor) solutions in a school or support team
  • Experience of delivering training courses
  • Good understanding of MIS and IT support issues
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Experience of providing support, advice and training in the use of MIS systems
  • Knowledge of schools procedures, working practices and statutory requirements
  • Relevant experience in the education sector preferred
  • Excellent customer relationship skills
  • Ability to communicate clearly both in writing and orally to different audiences
  • Ability to prepare and run effective training courses
  • Ability to work on own initiative and a part of a team
  • Ability to work flexibly and respond to changing solutions
  • Ability to identify problems and implement solutions
  • Ability to respond to the changing needs and priorities within the education environment
  • Ability to write clear concise instructions/training manuals
