Job Description

Part-time Transport Administrator role in the education sector, ensuring smooth operation of school transportation services and supporting students, staff, and parents

Job Responsibility

  • Oversee the smooth operation of the morning home-to-school bus service
  • Ensure all information in system is accurate and up to date
  • Process and reconcile purchase orders and invoices
  • Liaise with the School Fees team to resolve billing queries
  • Administer DBS Enhanced Certification Checks for operators and drivers
  • Organise quotations for sports fixtures and school trips
  • Provide proactive support to parents, students, colleagues, and transport operators via phone, email, and in-person interactions
  • Assist with ad hoc duties and reporting as required

Requirements

  • Educated to GCSE level (or equivalent)
  • Strong ICT literacy, particularly in MS Office (Word, Excel)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Good numeracy and keen attention to detail
  • Highly organised, capable of prioritising multiple tasks
  • Previous experience in a transport office or similar environment is desirable

  • Conduct routine patrols of assigned facilities to include buildings, parking lots, and district owned, leased, or rented property
