Job Description:

This full-time Registered Nurse position offers a unique opportunity to provide specialized medical care for students requiring skilled nursing support. Based in Centreville, MD, the nurse will serve during the 2026-2027 school year, working approximately 37 hours per week in a high school setting.

Job Responsibility:

  • Provide skilled nursing care and support to students with complex medical needs
  • Accompany a student on the bus to and from home and school, ensuring safety and proper medical oversight during transit
  • Support an additional student requiring nursing care during the school day
  • Maintain accurate health records and communicate effectively with families, school staff, and healthcare providers
  • Respond promptly to medical emergencies and implement care plans as needed

Requirements:

  • Current and valid Maryland Registered Nurse (RN) license
  • Experience providing nursing care in a school setting is preferred
  • Ability to manage care for students with diverse medical needs confidently and compassionately
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Willingness and ability to ride the bus with students
