Chaigeley School is seeking a committed and motivated Receptionist to join our team. Job Responsibility:
Be the first point of contact for the school community
Ensure smooth and efficient running of the school reception
Support wider administrative functions
Manage all aspects of the school reception
Handle telephone and face-to-face enquiries with empathy and discretion
Ensure reception area is staffed at key times
Maintain a calm, orderly and secure environment
Manage visitors
Ensure safeguarding and security procedures are followed
Maintain accurate sign-in systems and evacuation records
Manage school attendance processes
Ensure registers are accurately completed
Manage absence messages appropriately
Inform relevant staff while maintaining confidentiality
Provide administrative support
Manage mail, stationery and uniform supplies
Support staff queries
Maintain office systems
Ensure pupil records are kept accurate and up to date
Organise, book and confirm supply staff
Understand and follow all relevant school policies
Participate in emergency procedures when required
Demonstrate strong commitment to safeguarding in line with Keeping Children Safe in Education
