Job Description:

We are looking to secure a school receptionist who will be working as part of the School Administration team, and play an important role in supporting the school. This wonderful school is an all-through school in Basildon, successfully providing high quality education and academic achievement for children and young people. They believe that young children feel secure when they feel safe, valued and cared for. The school embraces diversity and promotes equality of opportunity.

Job Responsibility:

A dedicated member of staff acting as front of house to all visitors
To meet the demands of the role, with excellent timekeeping, taking responsibility as assigned
To liaise with colleagues as required to support the effective service support to both personal and telephone callers
To carry out duties as may be required from time to time commensurate with the overall responsibility of the post
To actively promote the aims and ethos of the School
Record and file relevant student documents as requested by SLT

Requirements:

Experience of working in an educational environment
Proven experience of working on a reception desk
Effective communication skills, written and verbal
The ability to work with high levels of tact, confidentiality and discretion
Candidate should be eligible to work in UK (Essential)
Enhanced child DBS on the update service or willingness to get one
2 recent professional references
