The School Psychologist – Senior provides a range of services and duties selected and adapted to the unique educational, psychological, emotional, mental health communication needs of Deaf, Hard of Hearing, and Deafblind children, aged 3-21, under the general supervision of the Director of Pupil Services.
Job Responsibility:
Conducting psychological, educational, and vocational assessments and diagnoses
providing counseling
collaborating with pupil services and diagnostic teams
coordinating intake procedures and processes
assisting with outreach evaluations
connecting with community resources
consulting with staff and parents/caregivers regarding student needs
Requirements:
Licensure or eligibility for licensure as a School Psychologist (61 or 62) with the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction
American Sign Language fluency
Master’s Degree in Psychology from an accredited university, college, or professional school
Nice to have:
Administering school-based testing and assessments for Deaf, Hard of Hearing, and Deafblind children, ages 3–21
Providing counseling and/or social-emotional supports in a school-based setting for Deaf, Hard of Hearing, and Deafblind children
Collaborating with multi-tier, multi-department teams (e.g., diagnostic, educational, and residential staff)
