  • Medication Administration: Safely administer oral, inhaled, and topical medications to students according to physician orders and established protocols
  • Health Monitoring: Monitor students for signs of medical distress, seizure activity, or changes in baseline health status, reporting concerns immediately to the RN
  • Emergency Assistance: Assist the RN in responding to medical emergencies, including the administration of emergency medications (e.g., Diastat, EpiPen) when necessary
  • Physical Support: Assist with the safe positioning and transferring of students with physical disabilities to prevent skin breakdown or injury during school hours
  • Documentation & Compliance: Maintain accurate, up-to-the-minute logs of treatments, medications administered, and any health-related incidents
  • Collaboration: Communicate effectively with teachers and 1:1 aides regarding a student’s daily health needs or any temporary medical restrictions
