Job Description:

The British College of Gavà, an Inspired school, is seeking to appoint an Intern to join us on a fixed term and full time basis. This is an exciting new role in a growing area of the business. The Intern will work closely with several departments and teams to support them with a wide range of tasks, depending on the school’s needs and the intern's background. The role provides an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a school environment while contributing to the overall brand-building process. The internship allows the individual to develop valuable, transferable skills, many of which are applicable across education, administration, and other professional fields.

Job Responsibility:

  • Classroom Support
  • Assisting teachers with lesson preparation and classroom management
  • Helping individual students or small groups with assignments
  • Help with the setup of Sports equipment for the PE classes
  • Supervising students during activities or transitions
  • Patio and lunch duties
  • Outings in school trips
  • Exam invigilations
  • Help with morning registrations on our platform
  • Assistance in setting up school events
  • Administrative Tasks
  • Filing, photocopying, organizing materials
  • Assisting with attendance, record-keeping, or scheduling
  • Supporting the front office or reception with basic duties
  • Student Engagement
  • Supporting extracurricular activities, clubs, or after-school programs
  • Mentoring or tutoring students
  • Helping with events like assemblies, sports days, or parent evenings
  • Observation and Learning
  • Observing different teaching styles and school operations
  • Attending staff meetings or training sessions
  • Learning about education policies, student behavior, and school culture
  • Miscellaneous Support
  • Setting up technology for lessons or presentations
  • Decorating bulletin boards or organizing classroom spaces
  • Running errands within the school

Requirements:

  • Currently enrolled in a degree
  • Strong passion for working in school environments
  • Basic graphic design skills or experience with design tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Photoshop, or Illustrator) is a plus
  • Strong written communication skills and attention to detail
  • Familiarity with office productivity tools (e.g., Microsoft Office, Google Workspace)
  • Speaks Spanish and English
