We are seeking an excellent HR Advisor, this exciting opportunity has arisen for someone to work on an ongoing temporary basis. The hours will be 8:30 am - 4:30 pm from Monday - Friday.

Job Responsibility

  • Act as a key point of contact for HR queries providing guidance on HR policy, process and operating procedures to employees and managers
  • Responsible for the onboarding process for successful candidates, ensuring all pre-employment checks have been carried out, including eligibility to work, DBS, overseas police checks, health checks, etc
  • Ensure that the HR systems (Select HR and SIMS) are kept up to date with all changes within the school, including new starters, leavers, changes of personal and contractual details, sickness, and other absences. Also, update training records, self-service, and appraisals
  • Assist in administration of the annual salary review process, ensuring systems are updated, and letters are issued to all staff
  • Ensure that managers and staff are aware of all HR policies and procedures and support them with any queries they may have
  • Supporting documentation has been checked, and systems and files have been updated accordingly

Requirements

  • Previous experience working at HR Officer level
  • System focused with ability to pick up new systems quickly. Highly effective communication skills
  • Ability to work on your own initiative. Excellent organisation and planning skills
  • Good people management skills, able to delegate and escalate as appropriate
  • Good experience of using Microsoft Office (Word & Excel) to create templates and mail merges etc
  • Understanding of HR and Payroll processes and basic employment legislation
  • Enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to get one
  • 2 recent professional references
  • Right to work in the UK (Essential)
