We are expanding our team and are looking for dedicated and proactive School Finance Officer to provide essential support to our client schools throughout Cambridgeshire. We have various opportunities available, and this is an excellent chance to contribute to a thriving educational community. You will be required to work from 8.00 am to 4.00 pm, Monday-Friday, in this full-time position that begins as soon as possible.
Job Responsibility:
To be a point of contact with parents for all fee queries and related matters
Preparation of termly invoices for academic fees and extras such as lunches and wrap-around care, adhering to strict deadlines
Working with the Admissions Department to maintain an accurate pupil roll
Liaison with the Admissions team, Database Manager and Office teams on the process to create new pupil records in SIMS (the school's pupil database)
Reconciliation of bills to ensure completeness and accuracy
Assisting with the processing of purchase order and payment of invoices
Keeping accurate records of pupils opting for lunches, and updating the catering team of lunch numbers every half term
Ensuring the Admissions Register (pupil database) is maintained in compliance with ISI regulatory standards
Assisting in delivering the project to move to electronic invoicing
Requirements:
Previous experience working with School database software (SIMS) is desirable but not essential
Experience of Finance systems and processes preferred
Outstanding organising and analytical skills
Eligibility to work in the UK - this is essential
Enhanced DBS on the update service
Attention to detail and accuracy are paramount
Excellent communication skills both verbal and written. A warm and engaging telephone manner
Competence in standard office software (Word, Outlook and Excel) essential
