The School Doctor is responsible for supporting the health, safety, and wellbeing of students and staff within the school community. The role involves providing medical care, overseeing health protocols, advising school leadership on health-related matters, and ensuring compliance with local health regulations. The School Doctor plays a key role in promoting preventative health practices and supporting a safe and healthy learning environment in a multicultural international school setting.
Job Responsibility:
Provide medical consultation and basic treatment for students and staff during school hours
Respond to medical emergencies and coordinate appropriate care when necessary
Maintain accurate medical records and ensure confidentiality of health information
Monitor and manage students with chronic medical conditions or special health needs
Develop and implement health protocols in line with local regulations and international school standards
Provide guidance on communicable disease prevention and health risk management
Advise school leadership on health, safety, and wellbeing matters affecting the school community
Support health education initiatives for students and staff
Liaise with parents, external healthcare providers, and local health authorities when necessary
Requirements:
Medical degree (MD or equivalent) with a valid license to practice medicine in the country
Experience in pediatrics, family medicine, or school health preferred
Previous experience working with children or adolescents in an educational or community setting
Strong knowledge of health and safety protocols and emergency response procedures
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary school environment
Strong organizational skills and attention to confidentiality and safeguarding requirements
