We are looking for an empathetic and client-centered School Counsellor to join our School, Student & Family Program (SSFP). The School Counsellor provides counselling through a holistic care model, with a strong focus on supporting and enhancing student wellbeing.
Job Responsibility:

Requirements:
Tertiary qualifications in Social Work, Counselling or Psychology
Eligibility for professional membership for one of the following: Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW), Psychotherapy & Counselling Federation of Australia (PACFA - Clinical), or Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHRPA - General Registration for Psychologists)
WWCC
Sound understanding of child and adolescent development, mental health issues, and risk and protective factors impacting wellbeing and school engagement
Knowledge of range of evidence-based counselling approaches and interventions
Have a client-centered and empathetic approach to counselling and supporting student wellbeing
Have resilience and adaptability to respond to flexible changing needs and critical incidents
