Job Description:

We are seeking a compassionate and qualified School Counsellor fluent in both Arabic and English to join a leading international school in Sharjah. This is a rewarding opportunity to play a vital role in supporting student's emotional well being, personal development, and academic success within a diverse and inclusive school community.

Job Responsibility:

  • Provide individual and group counselling to students across primary and secondary levels
  • Support students with social, emotional, and behavioural needs
  • Promote positive mental health and well being across the school
  • Work closely with teachers, leadership, and parents to support student development
  • Identify safeguarding concerns and follow appropriate procedures
  • Deliver workshops and awareness sessions on well being, resilience, and life skills
  • Maintain accurate, confidential student records
  • Contribute to school-wide pastoral care initiatives

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Counselling, Psychology, or a related field (Master's preferred)
  • Relevant counselling qualification/license
  • Minimum of 2 year's experience in a school or child-focused setting
  • Knowledge of safeguarding and child protection practices
  • Experience in an international school setting is an advantage
