Job Responsibility:
Food preparation and service of food as determined by the Food Services Manager
Assisting with the development of healthy monthly menus for the program
Inventorying of foods and kitchen supplies
Occasional coverage for vacations and holidays as determined by the Food Services Manager
Prepare kitchen, cafeteria or other space as required for serving and consumption of food
Clean and organize all kitchen areas and food storage areas
Maintain records to substantiate daily student meal charges
Maintain and control adequate food and beverage inventories
Various tasks and special functions/events as assigned by the Food Services Manager
Requirements:
High school diploma required
At least 2 years of experience cooking in a school environment
ServSafe certified or ability to become certified
Food preparedness experience required
Must hold a valid driver’s license
Knowledge of food allergies and food allergy preparation
Ability to work cooperatively and collegially with cafeteria and school personnel
