Pivotal leadership role within special school and college for pupils aged 4–19 with complex needs including Severe Learning Difficulties, Autistic Spectrum Disorder, and Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties. The School Business Manager will lead and manage strategic and operational business functions across three sites including finance, human resources, premises and facilities, health and safety, administration and ICT systems, and strategic operations and compliance.
Job Responsibility:
Act as strategic partner to Headteacher, Governors and SLT
Contribute to whole school development, improvement planning, and business continuity
Lead budget planning, monitoring, forecasting, procurement, and value for money initiatives
Oversee recruitment, onboarding, performance management, wellbeing, and compliance
Manage maintenance, security, and development of all three sites
Act as school's Health and Safety Officer
Line manage administrative teams
Oversee MIS, GDPR compliance, data protection, and digital transformation planning
Support development of new College provision including staffing structures, systems, and operational processes
Requirements:
Strategic leadership experience
Financial management including budget planning, monitoring, forecasting, procurement
Human resources oversight including recruitment, onboarding, performance management, wellbeing, compliance
Premises and facilities management
Health and safety officer experience
Administration and ICT systems management
Line management experience
Enhanced DBS clearance
Ability to travel between sites
