School Attendance/Administration Assistant

• Be creative, patient, and willing to think outside of the box
• To be responsible for the preparation and maintenance of the manual and computerised pupil data records (using SIMs - experience is essential)
• To provide general clerical support as required, including minute taking when necessary
• To undertake filing and photocopying as required, including the basic maintenance of the photocopier
• To undertake word processing as required using Microsoft Office - including the all attendance letters
• To collect, collate and distribute leaflets, letters and information packs for parents and carers
• To be a point of contact for both telephone and face to face enquiries, taking messages where appropriate in a warm and welcoming manner
• To ensure school security arrangements are always complied with, including the use of the electronic signing in system and issue of visitors' badges
• To accept and sign for deliveries as appropriate, checking items against delivery notes. To provide hospitality for visitors to the school
• To provide guidance and information for all new prospective pupils and parents/carers

• Enhanced DBS check is essential
• Eligibility to work in the UK
• Committed, flexible and enthusiastic
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Previous experience in similar roles
• Become a SIMS user and produce reports as when requested
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to set and work to agreed targets and work schedules
