Manchester Secondary PRU is seeking to appoint a resilient and proactive School Administrator to join our dedicated support team. This is a pivotal role that goes beyond standard office duties; you will be the operational "heart" of the school, providing high-level administrative and financial support to our Pastoral Team and Senior Leadership.
Job Responsibility:
Managing complex forms, returns, and correspondence relating to the school's specialist status and the Pastoral Team
Assisting with the monitoring of designated budgets, procurement of supplies, and the reconciliation and security of cash in line with financial regulations
Managing the Senior Assistant Headteacher's diary and providing bespoke administrative support to the Senior Leadership Team
Undertaking reception duties as the first point of contact for parents, visitors, and external agencies
Contributing to the wider school life, including supervising students during lunchtimes and assisting with educational visits and exam invigilation
Effectively using IT systems to produce management reports, statistics, and high-quality resources for stakeholders
Requirements:
A minimum of 6 months' recent experience working within a UK school administrative environment
Enhanced DBS certificate currently registered on the Update Service
Experience in ordering supplies and contributing to the monitoring of financial resources or budgets
Ability to operate various software packages and school management information systems (e.g., SIMS)
Exceptional literacy and numeracy skills, with the ability to produce high-quality professional documentation
A high level of tact, diplomacy, and the flexibility to adapt to the unique challenges of an SEMH environment
