This is a great opportunity to provide essential support to our client schools and become a key part of the local educational community. The working hours for this full-time employment are 8:00 am to 16:00 pm, Monday through Friday.
Job Responsibility:
Meet and greet the staff and students in the morning and ensure that any issues are followed up immediately
Monitoring and maintaining accurate attendance records for students
Collaborating with teachers and staff to identify and address attendance concerns
Implementing proactive strategies to promote regular attendance and punctuality
Collaborating with relevant stakeholders to develop initiatives that support student engagement and attendance
Providing support and guidance to students, fostering a positive and inclusive school culture
To arrange and lead meetings related to attendance, admissions/leavers
To ensure clear plans are in place to manage student absence at all levels
To raise the attendance across the school through both operational and strategic planning
Manage a varied workload using a structured, timely and prioritised methodology
To conduct detentions for timeliness for students who are late to school and parents/carers informed
To manage the home visit list on a daily basis, determining which staff will carry out the visits
Support with the administration of the admissions process in the school
Requirements:
Previous experience in a school setting or a related role with 2 recent professional references
Become a SIMS user and produce reports as when requested
Should be a part of the safeguarding team, ability to set and work to agreed targets and work schedules
Strong communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with students and families
Empathy and a supportive approach to addressing student and family concerns
Proficiency in using relevant computer software and databases for attendance tracking
Should take an enhanced DBS check
