Job Description:

We are currently recruiting for a Scheme Housing Officer to provide frontline housing management and support services across Independent Living, Sheltered, Extra Care, and Over-55s schemes in South East London. Reporting to a Team Manager, you will support older residents to live independently within safe, well-managed, and active communities.

Job Responsibility:

  • Deliver effective housing management and support services to older residents
  • Provide a visible presence across schemes to ensure safety and wellbeing
  • Manage tenancies in line with policies, procedures, and service standards
  • Support residents with housing-related issues and signpost to relevant services
  • Build strong partnerships with internal teams and external agencies
  • Handle customer feedback and complaints professionally
  • Ensure schemes are safe, compliant, and well maintained

Requirements:

  • Experience within care, support, sheltered housing, or housing-related support services
  • Understanding of the diverse needs of older people
  • Strong communication skills (face-to-face, phone, email, written)
  • Full UK driving licence with access to a vehicle or ability to travel effectively via public transport

Nice to have:

  • Experience working with older people in sheltered or supported housing environments
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation and good practice
