We are seeking a dedicated Scheduling Manager with a Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Computer Science OR at least 10 years of shipyard scheduling experience. The candidate will oversee the new construction division's schedulers in preparation and execution of production build strategies, task assignments, progress tracking, budget assignments and schedule development. The scheduling manager also maintains the appropriate reporting tools for performance and manning.
Job Responsibility:
Manages the activities of the New Construction Louisiana Scheduling group
Establishes and communicates schedule baselines and ensures control mechanisms are in place to monitor performance
Confers with department supervisors to determine status of assigned projects
Notifies management of situations that will affect the project schedule and costs
Reviews overall project status with program managers and operations management
Develops project task list with program managers and production
Develops detailed task budgets based on bid with project managers and production. in the development of building strategies with production and project management
Liaise with other departments at all meetings relevant to project operations and ensures that the time and cost plans are updated to reflect latest information
Provides and maintains appropriate reporting tools (i.e. MS Project schedules, Access database reports, etc.) to management
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Computer Science OR Minimum of 10 years of shipyard scheduling experience preferred
Three to Five (3-5) years of progressive experience leading a team
Project scheduling experience using Primavera P6 or Microsoft Project required
