Ringway is currently recruiting for a Scheduler to join the Reactive Maintenance team supporting the Surrey contract. This is a key role within a busy operational environment, coordinating day-to-day highways maintenance activities and ensuring works are delivered efficiently across the network. You’ll be part of a team that helps keep Surrey’s roads safe and operational, playing a vital role in managing work requests, allocating resources, and supporting field teams. As a Scheduler, you will be responsible for coordinating reactive maintenance works, ensuring that requests are logged accurately and assigned to the appropriate operational teams within agreed timescales. You will act as a central point of communication between internal teams, clients, and operatives, helping to ensure smooth delivery and high service standards. This role requires strong organisation, attention to detail, and the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Job Responsibility:
Coordinate and schedule reactive maintenance works across the contract
Receive, log, and process incoming work requests accurately
Allocate jobs to operational teams and monitor progress
Support urgent and emergency works, ensuring deadlines are met
Communicate effectively with operatives, internal teams, and stakeholders
Maintain accurate records across systems and ensure data integrity
Chase outstanding updates and ensure jobs are closed within SLA timelines
Provide general administrative support to the wider team
Requirements:
Previous experience in a scheduling, coordination, or administrative role
Strong IT skills with the ability to quickly learn new systems
Experience managing workloads in a fast-paced environment
Ability to prioritise effectively and meet deadlines
Strong communication skills and team-focused approach
