Job Responsibility:
Plan and allocate daily work for engineers based on priority and availability
Ensure jobs are scheduled efficiently to meet service level agreements (SLAs)
Coordinate emergency call-outs and urgent repairs
Monitor engineer availability and skill sets to assign appropriate tasks
Manage holiday, sickness, and shift patterns to maintain coverage
Confirm appointments with customers and provide updates on engineer arrival times
Handle rescheduling requests and resolve customer queries promptly
Ensure all planned works comply with regulations and company policies
Verify that engineers have the correct certifications and equipment for assigned jobs
Maintain accurate records in planning software or CRM systems
Update job statuses and engineer notes in real time
Track job completion rates, missed appointments, and engineer productivity
Report on KPIs and identify areas for improvement
Liaise with stores or suppliers to ensure engineers have required parts for scheduled jobs
Manage stock levels for common heating components
Handle scheduling conflicts and unexpected delays
Escalate technical issues to supervisors or senior engineers when necessary
Work closely with customer service, engineers, and management to ensure smooth operations
Attend planning meetings and contribute to workflow improvements
Requirements:
Proven experience in planning or a related field
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Proficiency in planning software and Microsoft Office Suite
