Job Description:

Midnight Mansion is designing and building new concepts in immersive entertainment! Our vision is to leverage interactive art and unparalleled technology to delight guests and engage them in unique gameplay. We are seeking a detail-oriented Scenic Assistant to support our production team.

Job Responsibility:

  • Scenic painting for sets, props, and themed elements
  • Applying textures, faux finishes, aging, distressing, and other paint treatments
  • Mixing paints and matching colors accurately for production needs
  • Preparing surfaces through sanding, priming, sealing, and base coating
  • Basic sculpting and molding
  • Helping maintain a safe and clean workshop and studio space

Requirements:

  • Experience in scenic painting
  • Knowledge of faux finishes and paint application tools (sprayers, rollers, brushes, etc.)
  • Familiarity with scenic sculpting and molding techniques
  • Ability to commute to Needham, Massachusetts
  • Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis
  • Enthusiasm for immersive / location-based entertainment

Nice to have:

  • Familiarity with shop safety practices and proper handling of materials and common paint-related chemicals
  • Experience with rapid prototyping, and working with materials such as foam, cardboard, spackle, etc., and tools such as hot glue guns, etc.
