Job Description:

We are seeking a SCCM Engineer to join our team in Chicago, Illinois. In this role, you will be responsible for packaging and deploying applications for Windows and Apple platforms, contributing to the development of task sequences, and assisting with Windows updates. This offers a contract to permanent employment opportunity that will allow you to make a direct impact on our IT infrastructure and ensure a smooth transition for our users.

Job Responsibility:

  • Packaging of a range of applications for deployment on both Windows and Apple platforms, including but not limited to Chrome, Zoom, SaaS applications, and SolidWorks
  • Participating in the deployment and reimaging process, ensuring efficient and accurate application installation
  • Collaborating with other engineers on the development and optimization of task sequences
  • Assisting with the implementation and management of Windows updates
  • Utilizing JAMF for macOS application packaging and deployment (not iOS)
  • Maintaining clear and concise documentation of packaging processes and deployment procedures
  • Utilizing scripting, ideally PowerShell, to automate tasks and streamline processes
  • Managing macOS environments (excluding iOS)
  • Packaging applications for deployment using System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM)
  • Reading and interpreting complex deployment workflows

Requirements:

  • Proficiency in utilizing Cisco Technologies, with an ability to troubleshoot and resolve related issues effectively
  • Familiarity with Dell Technologies, demonstrating an ability to leverage these tools for optimal system performance
  • Demonstrable experience with Active Directory, with a focus on managing user accounts and access
  • Proficient in handling Apple Devices, including troubleshooting and maintaining these devices
  • Experience with Backup Technologies, showing an ability to protect and recover data effectively
  • Solid knowledge of Configuration Management, including the ability to maintain and improve system configurations
