Job Description:

Own and operate accounting operations and financial controls within a global, scaling startup environment, becoming a driving force behind the physical AI platforms shaping autonomous systems and new markets. This is a career-defining opportunity to play a critical leadership role at a hyper-scale AI company transforming autonomous systems, energy, and the built environment.

Job Responsibility:

  • Own all accounting operations across the company: GL, AP, AR, payroll accounting, purchasing, invoicing, payments, and cash
  • Design and build accounting policies, controls, and processes that scale with the company
  • Ensure financial data is internally consistent, auditable, and trustworthy
  • Manage real-world complexity, overseeing accounting for international entities and relationships
  • Connect accounting to decision-making, translating accounting reality into insight leaders can use
  • Evolve the accounting function into a platform that supports strategic finance and long-range modeling

Requirements:

  • CPA or equivalent
  • 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, with clear ownership of close and reporting
  • A track record of building or rebuilding accounting systems, not just maintaining them
  • The ability to explain complex financial reality in plain language
  • Comfortable across multiple tools
  • you haven’t spent your career confined to Excel
  • Collaborative, ownership-minded, and able to navigate diverse perspectives
  • Deep experience with QuickBooks Online and modern accounting workflows

Nice to have:

  • Experience in tech, hardware, or capital-intensive businesses
  • Exposure to international operations or multi-entity structures
  • Experience operating spreadsheets in Apple Numbers
  • Experience with hardware + software business models
  • Understanding of regulatory-driven markets (energy, building automation, labor, logistics, AI governance)
  • Experience modeling multi-market rollouts, marketplaces, or partner ecosystems
