Job Description:

Randstad is delighted to partner with one of Australia’s leading defence primes, BAE Systems, who are recruiting experienced Scaffolders to join their Operator team for major naval shipbuilding programs in Osborne, SA. This casual position is a great opportunity for a passionate individual who is eager to grow their career and make a valuable contribution to the defence shipbuilding industry.

Job Responsibility:

  • Working in the most advanced and modern shipbuilding hub in Australia constructing world-class naval vessels as part of the Destroyer Capability Enhancement Program
  • Daily interaction with the operator team
  • Ensuring that you only perform tasks you are trained and deemed competent to perform including high risk license tasks
  • Ensure that all equipment and areas are maintained in a safe and organised manner
  • Responsible for your own safety and the safety of fellow workers
  • Involvement in the team's safety and quality requirements

Requirements:

  • Current High Risk Licences (Basic, Intermediate or Advanced Scaffolding)
  • Demonstrated experience in a similar environment
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong safety focus
  • Must be eligible to apply for Australian Defence Security clearance
