Job Description

We are currently looking for an experienced SC Cleared DevOps Engineer to join a high-profile programme delivering critical cloud infrastructure and platform services. This is an excellent opportunity for a DevOps professional with strong AWS experience to work on a large-scale environment while benefiting from a predominantly remote working model. Candidates must be able to attend meetings and occasional workshops in London as required.

Job Responsibility

  • Design, build and maintain AWS cloud infrastructure
  • Automate infrastructure deployments using Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
  • Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines to support software delivery
  • Implement monitoring, logging and alerting solutions
  • Support platform reliability, performance and security initiatives
  • Collaborate closely with development, architecture and operations teams
  • Contribute to DevOps best practices and continuous improvement initiatives

Requirements

  • Active SC Clearance (essential)
  • Strong hands-on experience with AWS services and cloud-native technologies
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation
  • Strong CI/CD experience using tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions or similar
  • Containerisation and orchestration experience, ideally with Docker and Kubernetes
  • Scripting experience with Bash, Python or PowerShell
  • Experience with monitoring and logging tools
  • Strong understanding of DevOps principles, automation and cloud security best practices

Nice to have

  • Experience working within government, defence or other secure environments
  • Knowledge of serverless architectures and AWS managed services
  • Experience with security and compliance frameworks
