Job Description:

Satellite Structural Engineer – Space Systems & EO Satellites. Do you want to design the structures that will carry tomorrow’s spacecraft into orbit? Join our NewSpace client – a growing, mission-driven engineering team building advanced satellite platforms that enable the next generation of space-based Earth observation and data systems. The Role: We are looking for a Structural Engineer to join their team on a full-time, permanent basis. In this role, you will contribute to the design, analysis, and optimisation of satellite structural components and assemblies. You’ll collaborate with a multidisciplinary group of engineers to ensure structural integrity, manufacturability, and mission success across all spacecraft systems.

Job Responsibility:

  • Lead the design and development of lightweight, high-performance structural components for satellites and subsystems
  • Perform detailed structural and vibration analyses using FEA tools to validate designs for launch and on-orbit environments
  • Collaborate with mechanical, thermal, and systems engineers to deliver integrated solutions
  • Support material selection, manufacturing process definition, and assembly methods
  • Create and maintain CAD models, technical drawings, and associated documentation
  • Contribute to design reviews, analysis reports, and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Support structural testing, verification, and validation campaigns

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field
  • 7+ years of experience in structural design and analysis, ideally within the aerospace or space sector
  • Proficiency in FEA tools such as ANSYS, NASTRAN, or Abaqus
  • Experience using CAD tools (e.g., Siemens NX, CATIA, or Autodesk Inventor)
  • Understanding of space-grade materials, structural testing methods, and load environments
  • Strong communication skills and fluency in English

Nice to have:

  • Familiarity with ECSS, NASA, or equivalent aerospace standards
  • Hands-on experience with mechanical subsystems such as mechanisms, actuators, or thermal hardware
  • Experience working in cross-functional engineering teams in a fast-paced environment
What we offer:
  • Be part of an ambitious team developing next-generation satellite systems
  • Work in a flexible, inclusive environment with remote and hybrid options
  • Competitive compensation and opportunities for growth
  • Contribute to meaningful missions that leverage space technology for global impact
