Job Description:

As a Satellite Production Technician, Integration at ICEYE, your mission is to turn cutting‑edge engineering into real satellites that reach space and deliver valuable insights back to Earth. You will bring each spacecraft to life through careful assembly, integration, and testing, making sure every component works exactly as it should. Through your hands-on work, you help grow and strengthen ICEYE’s satellite constellation, enabling people and organisations worldwide to see and understand our planet better.

Job Responsibility:

  • Satellites are built to spec by correctly assembling mechanical subassemblies into fully integrated spacecraft
  • All wire harnesses are installed and integrated so that electrical systems function reliably in orbit
  • Mechanical and electrical ground support equipment is used safely and effectively to support smooth integration and testing
  • Work instructions and engineering drawings are followed precisely, resulting in first-time-right assemblies
  • All work is fully documented in the shop floor system, ensuring end-to-end traceability of every satellite
  • Satellite hardware is protected from damage and contamination through consistently careful handling in cleanroom and ESD-safe areas

Requirements:

  • Ability to apply basic technical knowledge gained through a high school diploma or equivalent technical education
  • Proven competence in electro-mechanical or mechanical assembly/integration in a hands-on environment (typically 2+ years)
  • Strong manual dexterity and consistent attention to detail when working with small or precision components
  • Practical understanding of how mechanical and/or electrical systems work and interact
  • Ability to communicate clearly in English, both in writing and speaking, in a technical work environment

Nice to have:

  • Practical ability to use common lab and test equipment (e.g. power supplies, multimeters, oscilloscopes) safely and effectively
  • Capability to read, interpret, and consistently follow controlled documentation such as mechanical drawings, assembly instructions, schematics, and parts lists
  • Comfortable working with digital tools and PC-based systems, including platforms like Jira for tracking work and issues
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to stay organised in a dynamic production environment
  • Hands-on experience in electro-mechanical, precision, or high-volume manufacturing environments, understanding their pace and quality expectations
What we offer:
  • Occupational healthcare and accident insurance
  • A yearly benefit budget to spend as you wish (i.e. on sport, transport, bike benefit, wellness, lunch, etc.)
  • Phone subscription with iPhone of your choice
  • Relocation support if needed (i.e. flight tickets, accommodation, relocation agency support)
  • Time for self-development, research, training, conferences, or certification schemes
  • Inspiring and collaborating offices and silent workspaces enable you to focus
  • A wide variety of the best coffee, tea, snacks, and sweets to accompany your daily space mission
