Job Description:

We are looking for a Satellite AIT Delivery Manager to join our team in Stevenage! In this role, you will be accountable for achieving the agreed operational plan, working on a dedicated project to deliver the satellite on Quality, on Time, on Cost.

Job Responsibility:

  • Achieving the agreed operational plan
  • Delivering the satellite on Quality, on Time, on Cost
  • Assisting the AIT manager with cost/schedule definition
  • Directing operational activities with the hardware
  • Coordinating a multi-functional team (production control, Mechanical/Electrical engineering, scheduler, Shift leads)
  • Providing expert input into problem resolution
  • Assisting with anomaly investigations, NCR disposition, schedule what-if’s and resource/cost management
  • Controlling the cleanroom operations in line with the schedule/ECWP and feeding back the Cost of Non-Quality
  • Ensuring the delivery of a product is in line with the schedule
  • Monitoring and measuring input performances / On time delivery (Procurement, Design, KID)
  • Managing impacts to projects where necessary
  • Producing a detailed Daily Activity Plan from the Go-meeting output
  • Monitoring schedule updates and ensuring they are agreed by all stakeholders
  • Raising any resource issues to Satellite AIT line management via the AIT manager

Requirements:

  • Eligibility to gain UK SC Security Clearance
  • Good understanding and detailed experience of all types of mechanical and electrical systems
  • Lean manufacturing techniques including 5S, root cause analysis and continuous improvement
  • Production planning and MRP systems such as SAP
  • Spacecraft AIT
  • Mechanical / electrical processes including detailed assembly, wiring and fitting
  • Mechanical handling of equipment / Satellites
  • Environmental test & launch campaigns
  • Understanding of electrical tests and health checks
  • Interfacing with project, customers and suppliers in an assertive but diplomatic manner
  • Proven interpersonal skills in managing a small team
