Contribute to the design, development, integration and validation of the System which will allow the Mission Management. The System to be developed consists of a set of Tools which allow the simulation, commanding ad monitoring of the Ground Segment, as well as the overall traffic configuration. Your activities will be performed in close cooperation with the System Engineers, the SW Architect, the SW developers and the sub-contractors.
Job Responsibility:
Define and analyse customer requirements and contribute to the definition of the adequate System and Software Requirements
Define System Architecture, with particular focus on the Payload and Traffic Models and their inclusion in the Software Architecture
Support the coordination of the subcontractors, with particular focus on the System Design phase
Conduct analysis on System non-conformances, discrepancies and waivers
Analyse data from validation tests to determine whether systems and processes meet required criteria and specifications
Requirements:
Master’s degree in Telecommunications, Electronics, Aerospace or other related Engineering
Experience in designing and optimizing mission management systems for ground segments, focusing on customer link configuration
Experience with ground station systems and RF paths for ground segments, including RF front-ends, signal processing systems, transmission and reception components, amplifiers, filters, and frequency converters
Experience in link planning for ground-to-space and ground-to-ground communications, including link budget, scenario planning, data rate calculation, and related RF parameter conversions
Experience with ground infrastructure and facilities supporting space and ground segment operations
Experience with ECSS Review processes
Ability to operate and efficiently communicate in a multi-national team organisation
English fluent
Nice to have:
Knowledge of modern Systems Engineering techniques and tools (MBSE, DOORS, EA, CAMEO)
Knowledge of IT Virtualization techniques as well as Software Development Workflow and Architecture principles
Knowledge of AGILE Development Lifecycle (Kanban, SCRUM)
