SAS & SQL Developer – Assistant Vice President

Job Responsibility

  • Set up/attend meetings with various business partners and MIS teams to define the requirements and identify source data points
  • Translate test requirements (Intake forms) into technical terms and implement them in SAS/SQL logic to pull populations and statistically valid samples for the tests
  • Write new codes or update the existing ones to extract and/or profile data
  • Prepare the program logic document and submit the change to Management for its approval
  • Quickly respond to IA enquiries
  • Conduct testing and analyze results to ensure extraction process returned the desired result and implement changes as needed
  • Assist in uploading final reports to QA system (Quest) to allow reviewers to begin testing
  • Write simpler Unix Shell scripts required
  • Add SAS programs to AutoSys scheduler for automation purposes
  • Maintain data integrity of the populations and reports in the department to satisfy compliance and regulatory requirements
  • Develop ad-hoc reports as requested by the unit managers
  • Assist in the development of the department’s final monthly reports for upper management and business partners, if requested

Requirements

  • 6-10 years of experience in the field of data management and analytics
  • Experience as an Operations Research Analyst, Analytics Manager, Strategic Business Analyst or related position performing quantitative analytics supporting financial services
  • Experience analyzing large datasets
  • applying quantitative analysis techniques to perform complex analyses and data mining
  • Should be experienced with the architecture of Operational Data Store (ODS), Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW) and Big Data Hadoop System so that he/she can pull the data with minimal guidance
  • Must be experienced with Citi's major backend database systems (mainly Origination Empower, ODS Oracle, EDW Teradata and EAP
  • Should be proficient in writing SAS/SQL programs to extract, transform and data
  • Should know how to profile and analyze the extracted data
  • and develop analytical reports using SAS
  • Should be able to write Python coded for complex or repetitive tasks
  • Should be able to read/write SAS macros for complex or repetitive tasks
  • Knowledge of UNIX basic commands and basic shell scripting
  • Knowledge of AutoSys scheduling tool to automate jobs
  • Team player with good communication skills
  • Bachelors/University degree in related field

  • Knowledge of project management is preferred
