Job Description

Patel, Greene and Associates seeks a driven and creative technical professional to continue driving our success in Sarasota, Florida. The ideal candidate has a strong background in transportation engineering (open to all disciplines), a broad industry network, and is willing to help with day-to-day design tasks, quality control reviews, and other internal project/pursuit efforts, as needed. You will embrace and embody PGA’s uplifting culture and help build a talented local team while expanding our market presence with target clients means. This is a true seller-doer role that requires versatile leadership skills and collaboration with our other offices to deliver impactful projects for the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) and local municipalities. Job Responsibility

  • Function in a seller-doer capacity with the support of leadership and marketing
  • Coordinate with technical staff at all levels to produce quality work
  • Be responsible for the financial success of projects
  • Direct client interaction and engagement
  • Lead and coordinate marketing efforts for projects and contracts (preparation of Letters of Response and other Technical Proposals)
  • Ensure quality control reviews are completed in a proper and timely fashion
  • Direct and/or mentor staff
  • Coordinate workloads with discipline leads
  • Effectively prioritize and assign work to meet deadlines
  • Assist in strategic planning and the growth of PGA.

Requirements

  • At least 10 years of progressively more complex engineering experience in the transportation industry
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Acceptable Licenses/Certifications: PE, AICP, RLA, PTOE, SE, SPE, etc.
  • Strong background in transportation engineering (any discipline)
  • Excellent verbal communications skills and the ability to interact with a variety of clients and colleagues
  • Excellent attention to detail and outstanding organizational skills
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and assign work and meet deadlines
  • Excellent ability to perform multiple tasks in an organized manner and concurrently at the direction of PGA’s leadership team
  • A commitment to strong leadership.
