Job Responsibility:

  • Manage customer requirements, providing input for the development of IT products and services
  • Proactively advise customers on optimizing solutions (both technical and commercial) and on standardization strategies
  • Build and maintain close working relationships with customers to ensure continuous alignment and satisfaction
  • Oversee IT solution dependencies and ensure the integration of relevant IT products/services in close collaboration with Product/Service Owners
  • Take responsibility for managing interfaces across the solution
  • Coordinate functional configurations, technical developments, migrations, tests, and documentation in the tax area
  • Balance standardization with customer requirements and ensure the optimal speed of development and time-to-market
  • Plan technical release management (e.g., technical upgrades, transport slots, maintenance windows, etc.)
  • Actively implement and troubleshoot tax requirements within the SAP environment (end-to-end), ensuring seamless integration and proper functionality
  • Create and refine technical specifications to configure SAP systems, addressing both business requirements and technical challenge
  • Debug and resolve issues within SAP’s tax-related configurations across FI, SD, and MM modules

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or a related field
  • Proven experience in hands-on implementation and troubleshooting within SAP, particularly in tax configurations across FI, SD, and MM modules, ensuring the system meets business requirements
  • 5+ years of experience with SAP systems, specializing in the integration and configuration of tax processes (e.g., VAT, Sales Tax)
  • Leadership skills with the ability to lead functionally and give technical guidance to the team
  • Good understanding of relevant enterprise IT products and services, as well as customer environments
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with a hands-on approach to troubleshooting complex technical issues in live environments
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with both internal teams and external vendors
  • Fluent in written and spoken English

Nice to have:

  • Solid understanding of tax business processes and how to integrate them into SAP solutions
  • Experience working with external tax software vendors (preferably Vertex) in an SAP environment
