Job Description

We are seeking an experienced SAP Service Management (SM) Consultant to join our client’s team in Newark, CA. This is a 12-month contract role requiring a local candidate with strong expertise in SAP SM/CS (Customer Service / Service Management) and the automotive industry. The consultant will lead the design, configuration, and implementation of service management, warranty, claims, and vehicle lifecycle processes in SAP, driving service transformation and collaborating across multiple business functions.

Job Responsibility

  • Lead design, configuration, and implementation of SAP Service Management (SM/CS) processes
  • Configure and support Vehicle Management System (VMS) for vehicle lifecycle management
  • Develop and optimize warranty and claims workflows, including settlements and finance/logistics integration
  • Drive service orders, maintenance plans, and customer service processes in SAP
  • Collaborate with SD, MM, FI, and external warranty platforms to deliver seamless solutions
  • Provide expertise in service contracts, warranty determination, and claims automation

Requirements

  • 12+ years of SAP functional experience with strong expertise in SAP SM/CS
  • Deep background in the automotive industry (vehicle lifecycle, warranty, claims)
  • Experience integrating SM with SAP SD, MM, FI-CO, and VMS
  • Knowledge of SAP S/4HANA Service & Service Contracts (preferred)
  • Proven success in end-to-end service transformation projects
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
