Job Description:

The SAP S/4HANA Plant Maintenance Consultant will lead the transformation and implementation of SAP S/4HANA projects, focusing on maintenance processes. Candidates should have 5-8 years of experience in SAP PM, with strong skills in configuration, testing, and data migration. Preferred qualifications include SAP certifications and industry exposure to utilities or manufacturing.

Job Responsibility:

  • Configure and support SAP S/4HANA Plant Maintenance (PM) including Technical Objects (Equipment, Functional Locations), Maintenance Notifications and Maintenance Orders, Preventive Maintenance Plans and Task Lists, Breakdown, Refurbishment, and Calibration processes
  • Support corrective, preventive, and predictive maintenance scenarios
  • Support ECC to S/4HANA conversions or greenfield implementations
  • Apply S/4HANA PM simplifications, Fiori apps, and embedded analytics
  • Assist in Fit-to-Standard (F2S) workshops and requirement clarification
  • Work closely with MM, WM/EWM, PP, QM, and FI/CO teams to ensure end-to-end integration
  • Support PM integration with Procurement, Production, and Finance processes
  • Coordinate with technical teams (ABAP, CPI, mobility tools) on RICEFW objects and enhancements
  • Prepare and execute unit testing and SIT test cases for PM scenarios
  • Support UAT, defect resolution, and business user clarification
  • Assist with data migration validation for technical objects, maintenance plans, and open orders
  • Support cutover activities for open maintenance orders and plans
  • Provide hypercare support, troubleshooting PM-related issues post go-live
  • Document issues, resolutions, and process changes
  • Prepare and maintain Functional specifications, Configuration documents, Test scripts and user guides
  • Follow SAP Activate methodology and project documentation standards

Requirements:

  • 5–8 years of SAP functional experience in SAP Plant Maintenance (PM)
  • At least one full-cycle SAP S/4HANA implementation or conversion project
  • Strong understanding of maintenance planning, execution, and costing processes
  • Hands-on experience with S/4HANA PM configuration
  • Hands-on experience with PM integration with MM, PP, and FI/CO
  • Hands-on experience with Equipment and Functional Location data models
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
  • Good communication and documentation abilities
  • Ability to work effectively in onshore–offshore and asset-intensive delivery models
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to S/4HANA innovations

Nice to have:

  • Exposure to SAP Asset Management, Fiori PM apps, or Predictive Maintenance
  • Knowledge on LeanIX, Signavio for process flow preparation and discussion with business team
  • SAP S/4HANA or SAP PM certification
  • Experience with SAP Activate methodology
  • Industry exposure to Utilities, Manufacturing, Oil & Gas, Mining, or Energy
  • Exposure to FSM, EAM, or GIS integrations
