The SAP S/4HANA EHS Consultant will play a vital role in supporting SAP S/4HANA transformation projects, focusing on EHS processes. The ideal candidate will have 5-8 years of experience in SAP EHS, with strong analytical skills and a solid understanding of regulatory compliance. A bachelor's degree in a relevant field is preferred, along with SAP EHS and S/4HANA certifications. This position offers a hybrid work model and opportunities for professional growth.
Job Responsibility:
Configure and support SAP S/4HANA EHS processes including: Incident and Accident Management
Risk Assessment and Hazard Identification
Safety Data Sheets (SDS/MSDS)
Dangerous Goods Management
Occupational Health and Industrial Hygiene
Support environmental and safety compliance reporting
Support ECC to S/4HANA conversions or greenfield implementations
Apply S/4HANA EHS best practices and simplifications
Assist in Fit-to-Standard (F2S) workshops and requirement clarification
Work closely with MM, SD, PP, QM, WM/EWM, GTS, and FI/CO teams to ensure end-to-end integration
Support integration of EHS with logistics, manufacturing, and compliance processes
Coordinate with technical teams (ABAP, CPI, document management) on RICEFW objects and interfaces
Prepare and execute unit testing and SIT test cases for EHS scenarios
Support UAT, defect resolution, and business user clarification
Assist with data migration validation for EHS master data (substances, specifications, phrases)
Support cutover activities for EHS master and transactional data
Provide hypercare support, troubleshooting EHS-related issues post go-live
Document issues, resolutions, and compliance process changes
Prepare and maintain: Functional specifications
Configuration documents
Test scripts and user guides
Follow SAP Activate methodology and project documentation standards
Requirements:
5–8 years of SAP functional experience in SAP EHS
At least one full-cycle SAP S/4HANA implementation or conversion project
Strong understanding of EHS and regulatory compliance processes
Hands-on experience with S/4HANA EHS configuration
Hands-on experience with EHS integration with logistics and manufacturing modules
Hands-on experience with regulatory frameworks (GHS, REACH, OSHA, etc.)
Exposure to SAP Product Compliance or Dangerous Goods is a plus
Knowledge on LeanIX, Signavio for process flow preparation and discussion with business team, is an added advantage
Strong analytical and compliance-oriented skills
Good communication and documentation abilities
Ability to work effectively in onshore–offshore and regulated delivery models
Willingness to learn and adapt to regulatory and S/4HANA innovations
Nice to have:
SAP S/4HANA or SAP EHS certification
Experience with SAP Activate methodology
Industry exposure to Chemicals, Pharmaceuticals, Manufacturing, Oil & Gas, or Life Sciences
Exposure to SAP Sustainability or Product Compliance solutions is an advantage
