Job Description

The SAP Order to Cash Consultant within the (HST) Healthcare Systems and Technologies segment acts as the functional and technology lead for the SAP Order to Cash domain delivering the functional capabilities required by the business. This role leverages prior hands-on SAP functional experience to provide strategic leadership and consultation required to create and sustain optimal processes in Order to Cash and integrated processes. The consultant challenges existing practices by leveraging prior experiences, business partner feedback, and external service providers. Order to Cash is a critical enabler within the HST segment, especially considering the complexities of the distribution channels and sales network around the globe coupled with the multi-ERP landscape.

Job Responsibility

  • Accountable for partnering with the business and IT teams to differentiate the necessity of business requirements and map them to an integrated set of solutions to meet the needs of the business
  • Accountable for developing and designing solutions across the Order-to-cash process landscape leveraging internal teams and external service providers as needed and striving for commonality in processes when there is limited value in differentiating
  • Responsible for understanding and acting on the integration points of Order-to-cash with adjacent process areas, such as commercial, customer service, warehouse execution, transportation, finance etc
  • Proactively consult with your business partners on opportunities to create value in the business. Review business cases and provide an IT perspective to meet business objectives
  • Own the order to cash technology strategy for enabling critical capabilities across the global segment. Collaborate with various IT functions (integration, quality, compliance etc.) to ensure cohesiveness of IT changes
  • Understand the HST go-to-market strategies and constantly be at the forefront of understanding how the company is differentiating itself from competitors and how that translates to the capabilities required in order-to-cash processes
  • Drive curiosity across the ERP team to understand technology offerings in the market and how the changing healthcare landscape is driving HST needs. Act as an influencer to your business counterparts on enabling technologies within Order to Cash

Requirements

  • 10+ years’ experience in order-to-cash processes, including at least 5 years within life sciences or healthcare, with specific experience in enabling processes with SAP as a foundation technology
  • 8+ years’ experience in a leadership role for order-to-cash and related teams
  • Multiple years of demonstrated leadership of complex global implementations
  • Hands-on experience in SAP ECC and preferably S/4Hana functional modules Sales and Distribution (SD), Logistics Execution (LE) and integration into relevant modules like Materials Management, Finance, Customer Relationship Management among others
  • Experience in Make-to-stock and Make-to-order scenarios including SAP variant configuration, sales quotation and pricing, logistics execution
  • Experience with ancillary products and integrations that are enablers to order-to-cash processes, such as Subscription Enablement (BRIM), Revenue Management (ex. Vistex, Model N, etc.), Warehouse Execution systems (SAP EWM, Manhattan, Blue Yonder etc.), CRM (Salesforce, Hybris, etc.), 3PLs, Distributors, Transportation, Trade Compliance, etc.
  • Experience with EDI processing and thorough understanding of different EDI message types such as 850, 855, 856, 810, etc. and multiple EDI formats such as EDIFACT, X12 and EDI exchanges across the globe (PEPPOL, INEXCHANGE, etc.)
  • Comfortable operating across a matrixed organization (IT and business) to deliver outcomes
  • Strong blend of business process knowledge and functional depth
  • Significant partnership experience with large technology system integrators
