Job Description

We are seeking an experienced SAP FI/CO Inhouse Consultant with a strong focus on SAP Project System (PS) to support a global S/4HANA transformation program. In this role, you will act as a key functional expert for Finance and Controlling processes with a particular emphasis on project-based accounting and SAP PS integration scenarios. You will contribute to the design and implementation of end-to-end solutions within a global SAP template environment, ensuring seamless integration between FI/CO and SAP PS.

Job Responsibility

  • Act as functional expert for SAP FI/CO and SAP PS across business and IT stakeholders
  • Design and optimize project-related financial processes with strong SAP PS integration
  • Perform customizing in SAP FI/CO and SAP PS in SAP S/4HANA (and legacy systems if applicable)
  • Support and contribute to a global S/4HANA transformation and rollout program
  • Translate business requirements into scalable SAP solutions with focus on: Project accounting, WBS structures, Budgeting and forecasting, Settlement and cost tracking
  • Manage and specify change requests in close collaboration with business and IT teams
  • Provide 2nd-level support for FI/CO and PS processes
  • Ensure compliance with IT governance, standards, and system guidelines
  • Support testing, training, documentation, and knowledge transfer activities
  • Drive continuous improvement of finance and project system processes

Requirements

  • Strong hands-on experience in SAP FI/CO configuration and support
  • Deep expertise in SAP Project System (PS) with strong integration knowledge to FI/CO
  • Proven experience in SAP S/4HANA implementation or transformation projects
  • Strong understanding of project-based accounting concepts (WBS, budgeting, settlement processes)
  • Experience in global template or international SAP environments
  • Ability to act as a functional lead and trusted advisor to business stakeholders
  • Strong analytical skills, ownership mindset, and delivery orientation
  • Experience in SAP change management, testing, and support processes
  • Fluent in German and English
  • Strong communication skills and experience in cross-functional collaboration

Nice to have

  • Background in manufacturing or industrial environments
  • Experience in global S/4HANA rollout programs
  • Knowledge of additional SAP modules (e.g. MM, SD, CO-PA)
  • Experience in training or end-user enablement
