Job Description:

The SAP PPDS Consultant role requires a minimum of 8 years of experience in SAP PP processes and hands-on expertise in SAP S/4HANA functionalities. Candidates should possess strong analytical skills and experience in production planning and scheduling. The position involves collaboration with stakeholders, system configuration, and ensuring integration with other SAP modules.

Job Responsibility:

  • Collaborating with business stakeholders to gather, analyze, and map production planning and scheduling requirements to SAP S/4HANA solutions
  • Designing, configuring, and customizing the SAP PP and embedded PPDS modules to meet specific business needs, including managing master data and planning parameters
  • Implementing and optimizing detailed scheduling, capacity planning, and production planning processes using PPDS heuristics and the detailed scheduling planning board
  • Ensuring seamless integration between S/4HANA PPDS and other SAP modules such as Materials Management (MM), Sales and Distribution (SD), Quality Management (QM), Finance and Controlling (FI/CO), and external systems like MES or IBP
  • Developing and executing test plans (unit, integration, UAT), troubleshooting issues, and providing ongoing support and training to end-users
  • Creating comprehensive functional specifications, process documentation, and user manuals, while ensuring compliance with industry standards (e.g., GxP, SOX in relevant industries)
  • Continuously evaluating and improving planning and scheduling processes, leveraging S/4HANA innovations like Fiori apps and embedded analytics

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in SAP PP processes
  • Hands-on expertise in SAP S/4HANA embedded PPDS functionalities (heuristics, optimizer, pegging strategies, capacity planning, alerts)
  • In-depth knowledge of SAP PP processes (MRP Live, classic MRP, production orders, process orders, repetitive manufacturing, etc.)
  • Expertise in managing core PP/PPDS Master Data: Products, Locations, Resources, Production Data Structures (PDS), BOMs, Work Centers/Routings, and Production Versions
  • Proficiency with S/4HANA specific features like Fiori applications for production planning, MRP Live, and Demand-Driven MRP (DDMRP)
  • Strong understanding of the SAP Activate project methodology
  • Extensive experience in manufacturing and supply chain planning processes
  • Experience in specific industry sectors like Automotive, Pharma, or Discrete Manufacturing can be an advantage
  • Must have worked on, hands on and experienced in Business Process Analysis, System Configuration & Implementation, Detailed Scheduling & Capacity Planning, Integration, Testing and Support, Documentation and Compliance, Process Improvement

Nice to have:

  • Extensive experience in manufacturing and supply chain planning processes
