Job Description

SAP PDM Consultant responsible for modeling internal requirements for document management in SAP R3 and S4 systems, implementing/configurations, consulting teams, gathering business requirements, designing technical solutions, analyzing existing processes, and implementing document management solutions in SAP and non-SAP environments.

Job Responsibility

  • Modeling internal requirements for document management (PDM) in SAP R3 and S4 systems
  • Implementation/configuration in the systems either yourself or in collaboration with other teams
  • Consulting other teams in the implementation
  • Working closely with internal customers to gather and discuss document management related business requirements
  • Consolidating requirements, deriving technical concept, designing solution and aligning it with architects
  • Analyzing existing document management processes at clients and identifying optimization potentials
  • Advising and implementing document management solutions in SAP and non-SAP environments
  • Supporting integration of document management systems into existing IT infrastructures
  • Training and assisting users in utilizing new systems
  • Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to develop tailored solutions

Requirements

  • Completed degree in Computer Science, Business Informatics, or a comparable qualification
  • In-depth knowledge of document management systems, particularly in SAP and other relevant technologies
  • Customizing in SAP standard
  • Customer specific integrations and solutions
  • Classification
  • Authorization concept
  • Basic skills in ABAP/4, ABAP OO development, debugging skills
  • Experience in analyzing SAP technical objects settings (ABAP workbench and dictionary)
  • Basis knowledge of technical interfaces for data distribution (e.g. EDI/ALE, ODATA services)
  • Experience in consulting and implementing IT solutions
  • Excellent English language skills (written and verbal)
  • Excellent analytical skills and problem-solving abilities
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to explain complex issues clearly
