Carrier Digital Hub India is seeking a dynamic and experienced MDG Business Partner Functional to join our Digital ERP Center of Excellence. This role is pivotal in driving Carrier’s digital transformation journey, with a focus on MDG BP. The ideal candidate will bring passion for customers, a desire to drive quality and speed of delivery for Carrier’s applications and processes.
Job Responsibility
Define and execute the MDG strategy aligned with manufacturing business priorities (supply chain, procurement, finance, plant operations) and the S/4HANA roadmap, leveraging the Carrier’s Digital Hub as a scalable delivery and support model
Lead end-to-end functional design for MDG domains (Business Partner, Material, Finance), ensuring standardized data models, governance processes, and integrations supporting manufacturing processes such as source-to-pay, plan-to-produce, and order-to-cash
Act as a trusted partner to manufacturing leaders, data owners, and regional teams to establish global governance, decision forums, ownership models, and data standards, balancing global template discipline with local plant requirements
Govern MDG program delivery across regions by orchestrating onshore–offshore collaboration through the Carrier’s DHI, covering fit-to-standard workshops, build, testing, cutover, and hypercare, while ensuring predictable delivery, quality, and cost efficiency
Drive data quality, risk, and compliance across manufacturing master data (vendor, customer, material, plant), embedding controls, audit readiness, and regulatory requirements into MDG workflows and approvals, in close alignment with GRC and internal controls
Lead change, communication, and training for manufacturing users and plant stakeholders, while building MDG functional and governance capabilities within the team to enable long-term sustainability, continuous improvement, and operational excellence
Requirements
Minimum 12-15 years of SAP Master Data Governance should have 4 full lifecycle implementation experience in MDG
Should have deep expertise on SAP- MDG E2E configurations
Expertise in Implementation of SAP MDG Solution
Ability to think strategically while operating tactically to implement global data standards and global technical/process solutions
Excellent analytical abilities, organization, and project/process management skills
Ability to convey vision through conversations / meetings / office tools
Demonstrate high degree of initiative and self-motivation
Comfortable meeting customers and partners
Strong interpersonal skills: the ability to work collaboratively with a wide range of individuals at all levels of the organization
Effective formal presentation and facilitation skills in a variety of settings
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Knowledge of an agile framework or method (i.e. Scrum, SAFe), an in-depth knowledge of traditional project management principles would be an advantage
Planning and problem solving with product management and delivery teams
Domain knowledge of Master Data Governance – Supplier, Customer, Finance ata
