As the SAP Functional Lead, you will be the primary Subject Matter Expert (SME) responsible for proposing, designing, and delivering functional solutions for implemented SAP modules and future rollouts. You will work at the intersection of Business and Technology, ensuring that all SAP platform enhancements align with corporate policies and long-term strategic goals. This role involves high-level stakeholder engagement, vendor management, and the oversight of complex, multi-currency accounting environments within S/4HANA.
Job Responsibility:
Gather, analyze, and document complex business requirements
propose functional solutions and create/review detailed functional specifications
Act as the primary bridge between Business units and Technology teams, simplifying complex technical information for senior and executive management
Promote SAP platform usage among senior leaders and third-party partners to drive digital transformation
Partner with Technology teams to validate technical designs, perform pros/cons analyses on solution options, and recommend best-fit paths
Manage multiple concurrent enhancement initiatives, provide regular updates for business cases, and analyze project risks/impacts
Build and maintain strong relationships with external suppliers, consulting partners, and internal corporate functions (Legal, Compliance, Audit)
Requirements:
10–15 years of experience in project-driven environments
Proven track record with at least one end-to-end SAP implementation and one production support project
Expert-level proficiency in S/4HANA Finance (General Ledger, Accounts Receivable), FICO, and Average Daily Balance (ADB) multi-currency accounting
Strong experience with SAP MDG (Master Data Modeling, Configuration, Workflow), Fiori MDG UI, and SAC Reporting using CDS views
Understanding of enterprise data structures in S/4HANA Finance and SAP HANA DB concepts (SQL, data transformation)
Experience with Systems Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and testing frameworks
Nice to have:
Hands-on experience with ABAP enhancements, BRF+, and BW
Familiarity with FPSL (Financial Products Sub-Ledger) and FCL
Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Experience with MS Project, Teams, and SharePoint is preferred
Exceptional communication and negotiation skills with the ability to influence cross-functional decision-making
Strong organizational skills to manage multiple high-priority projects simultaneously
Adaptability to excel in a fast-paced, evolving corporate environment
