Job Description

We are seeking an experienced SAP Functional Consulting Specialist – FICO to join our team in Toronto. This role involves supporting critical post-go-live activities, including managing hyper care tickets and implementing deferred project items. You will be instrumental in ensuring the stability and optimization of the SAP S/4HANA environment. The successful candidate will leverage their deep expertise in finance and controlling modules to bridge the gap between technical configuration and business process requirements, including the integration of financial reporting with Anaplan.

Job Responsibility

  • Provide expert support for ticket triaging, troubleshooting, issue identification, and defect resolution for the FICO and FM modules
  • Implement prioritized deferred items, configuring the system to align with best practices and specific business requirements
  • Develop functional specifications, update business process documentation, and create risk mitigation strategies
  • Review and update test scripts and cases, identify test data, and execute various testing phases (unit, integration, regression, and UAT)
  • Collaborate with internal teams and vendors to ensure seamless integration between SAP and non-SAP solutions, particularly regarding Anaplan for budgeting
  • Communicate effectively with leadership and business partners to drive project objectives and provide expert SAP guidance
  • Develop communication plans and training materials to support end-users and ensure a smooth transition to new functionality

Requirements

  • 10+ years of hands-on experience in large-scale programs within government or large private sector organizations
  • Deep functional knowledge and configuration experience in SAP S/4HANA, specifically Finance (FI), Controlling (CO), Asset Accounting (AA), Accounts Payable (AP), Project Systems (PS), and Funds Management (FM)
  • Proven track record in delivering at least two end-to-end SAP implementations
  • Extensive experience with Agile, Waterfall, and iterative project management techniques and tools
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and strong knowledge of test methodologies
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels, including leadership and vendors
  • SAP Certification in FI-CO is considered an asset
